Some of the best fishing right in our backyard. The Russian River
offers steel head fishing. Or just a short distance away is Lake
Sonoma that offers bass, Sacramento perch, channel catfish and red-ear
sunfish.
More than 40 miles of
trails welcome hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers to Lake
Sonoma. The trails provide access to hard-to-reach areas of the
park. Passing through shady woodlands of oak, alder, bay and madrone,
over sweeping grasslands and into redwood groves, the trails open
onto impressive panoramas of the lake and surrounding hills. You
will see a variety of wildlife, such as deer, jackrabbits, and many
birds. You may get lucky and spot the rare peregrine falcons nesting
close by.
Welcome to the wonderful world of skydiving. For beginners try the
Tandem jump. This is a low pressure, high thrill skydive, it is a
perfect first jump for those wanting an adrenaline adventure.
Explore the many coves on Lake Sonoma by canoe, sailboat, or
motorboat. Water ski in designated areas. Canoeing on the Russian
River is a must! Camping/Lodging Take your choice, a bed and
breakfast, cabin resort, motel. Or, do you prefer the seclusion
offered by primitive boat-in camp sites, the convenience of a
developed campsite…we have it all. Sunny days and cool nights
provide the perfect climate for camping, whether it be nestled in
the hills overlooking the magnificent Alexander Valley, or off the
Russian River.
